A collaboration between Industry and Government to stimulate the uptake of novel technologies to meet industry demand for alternative, i.e. non-food crop products, enhancing wealth creation in the UK.
The Alternative Crops Technology Interaction Network is an industry-led initiative to promote the use of renewable raw materials derived from agricultural crops (industrial oils, fibres, starches and speciality chemicals), as sustainable, biodegradable, non toxic and CO2 neutral replacements - for petrochemical feedstocks.

Der Bayerische Navigator durch die Welt der Nachwachsenden Rohstoffe bietet neben allgemeinen Informationen zum Thema Nachwachsende Rohstoffe eine umfangreiche Literaturliste sowie eine Liste von Demonstrationsprojekten.

    AFB-NET - The Agricultural and Forestry Biomass Network
    The AFB-net brings together industry representatives from 14 European Union countries in a whole chain approach to stimulate the commercial and industrial exploitation of biomass energy in Europe. Established in January 1995, the network is managed by ETSU and is supported by the Directorate-General for Energy (DGXVII) of the European Commission under its ALTENER Programme.
